Breeders List The main purpose of this website was to provide a list of UK captive bred tortoise breeders. This is because hundreds of people each year buy an imported tortoise from petshops or online dealers. Imported tortoises are often ill, infected with worms, and have undergone masses of stress to get to the UK Apart from this, may are wild caught, and they are often sold with incorrect information. There are many people that now breed tortoises in the UK. These are much healthier animals, and you will get a life-time of support and a wealth of information when you buy a UK Captive bred tortoise. Most breeders will also offer holiday homes for your tortoise should the need arise. I have only disclosed the first name of the breeders, for security reasons.
